Promoting Your Campaign
Once your campaign has been approved and is up and running, let’s make it a success. By having your fundraiser on I Support Stillwater, you already have a greater chance of standing out amongst other local campaigns, rather than in a sea of fundraisers from all over the world. However, there are ways of promoting your campaign to insure that you get even more traffic to your I Support campaign, getting you more donations.
Creating a Facebook Page
Social media is a great, free way to promote your fundraiser to your friends, family and donors to keep them in the loop as your campaign goes on. This is also great for campaigns lasting more than 30 days.
- Creating Your Facebook Page
To create a page for your campaign, go to the top of your Facebook page and click on the down arrow at the end of the top navigation.
Click on the Create Page option.
Be sure to select Cause or Community, then fill in your page information.
- Linking Your Page to Your Campaign
Now that you have a social media platform, you can engage even more with your donors and followers. Even better, you now have another platform to directly funnel your friends, family, and neighbors to your donation page from your Facebook page.
When creating your Facebook page, be sure to add a call to action at the top of your page. To do this, select the Create Call-to-Action button at the top of your page and select the Donate Now button.
Next paste in your personal URL for your fundraising campaign. This will be the link you will see in the address bar of your browser when you are on your personal campaign page.
- Promoting Your Donation Page Though Facebook
Now that your Facebook page is up and connected to your fundraiser on I Support Stillwater, it is now time to connect with donors.
Promoting on Other Social Media Platforms
Thankfully, promoting your fundraiser on a variety of social platforms is similar to promoting on Facebook, as well as easy to do.
